Bambang Pamungkas


Profile Football Stars | Bambang Pamungkas | Bambang made his name in South East Asian football when he scored the lone goal for Indonesia at the 2002 Tiger Cup semifinal against Malaysia, and he Become the top scorer in the tournament with eight goals. Bambang Pamungkas also known as Bepe  is an Indonesian footballer plays for Persija WHO Jakarta in the Indonesian Super League and the Indonesia national football team. 


Bambang starts his career in Persija Jakarta, Become the top scorer and help the club win Liga Indonesia in 1999. In his first season in Malaysia, he won the Malaysia Premier League, FA Cup Malaysia, and Malaysia Cup and Became the top-scorer with 23 goals in 24 matches in Malaysian Premier League with a total of 42 goals in four competitions (Premier League Malaysia, FA Cup Malaysia, Malaysia Cup, AFC Cup).


Bambang has scored 142 goals in Liga Indonesia.  Now with 37 goals, he is top scorer in the Indonesia national football team history and he is a very talented player. However due to injury made him out of the Indonesian squad for the 2004 Tiger Cup.He scored two more goals in the 2008 AFF Suzuki Cup.


In 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup Pamungkas scored two goals in a match against Thailand, both of them from penalty kicks. He has scored a total of 12 goals in the ASEAN Football Championship, this make-him 5th place all-time top scorer in the ASEAN Football Championship history.
