Frank Lampard


Profile Football Stars | Frank Lampard | Lampard began his career at West Ham United, his father Frank Lampard, Sr.. From his debut onwards he was ever-present in the Chelsea first team, setting a record 164 consecutive Premier League appearances. In the 2009-10 season, Lampard won the Premier League title and FA Cup (domestic cup double) and also had his most Prolific season with Chelsea, scoring 22 league goals and 17 assists league. Lampard is also the highest goalscoring midfielder in Premier League history (146 league goals) and second in the Premier League's all-time assists table with 91 assists.


Lampard began his career at West Ham United, his father's former club, joining the youth team in 1994. Lampard was an ever-present for West Ham in the 1998-99 season, Helping his team to fifth place in the Premier League season and qualifying for the Intertoto Cup. In the 1999-2000 season Lampard finished as the club's third top scorer with a total of 14 goals. In this season he scored his first goals in European competition, in the Intertoto and UEFA Cups.


Lampard Appeared in all of Chelsea's league matches and scored eight goals in the 2001-02 season. He netted the match-winner in Chelsea's 2002-03 season-opener against Charlton Athletic. Chelsea finished 2nd in the 2003-04 Premier League behind unbeaten Arsenal and he was named in the 2004 PFA Team of the Year as he reached double figures in league goals (10) for the first time in his career, in Addition to four goals in UEFA Champions League fourteen matches, as Chelsea advanced to the semi-finals. In the semi-final against Monaco he scored, but Chelsea lost 5-3 on aggregate.  In the third round of the FA Cup, Lampard scored the 4th goal of a 4-0 win against Portsmouth. In Chelsea's third game of 2012, Lampard continued his good form by scoring his third goal in three appearances for Chelsea this year , Helping Chelsea to a third consecutive victory, scoring the only goal of the game against Sunderland.  On 25 February, Lampard scored his tenth league goal of the season in Chelsea's 3-0 win against Bolton, Becoming the only player to score at least 10 goals in nine consecutive seasons in the Premier League and his 150th league goal all time. Chelsea's Branislav Ivanović sealed victory in extra-time.


Lampard earned his first cap for England on 10 October 1999 in a 2-1 friendly win over Belgium, and scored his first goal on 20 August 2003 in a 3-1 win over Croatia. Lampard's goal was the 500th England goal scored at Wembley. On 9 September 2009, Lampard struck twice in England's 5-1 win against Croatia the which secured Their place at 2010 World Cup. In the Euro 2012 qualifiers, Lampard netted two goals for England, both Penalties. In November 2011, Lampard captained England to a 1-0 friendly victory over current World Champions Spain, a game in the which he scored the only goal. In a friendly on November 12, 2011 at Wembley Stadium against Spain, Lampard scored the solitary goal four minutes into the second half giving the victory to England.
